Varsity Girls Tennis
Overview: With the season wrapping up, Galileo’s varsity girl’s tennis team had a season record of (2-5) in the AAA league. At all cities the girls did not make it out of the first round, but are looking forward to next season to come roaring back with vengeance.
Key Players: Freshman Samantha Mui, Junior Sabrina Louie, Junior Noelani Meteyry.
Key Opponents: Lowell Cardinals, Washington Eagles
Varsity Boys Soccer
Overview: With the season almost coming to an end, Galileo’s varsity boy’s soccer had a record of (8-7) in the AAA league but unfortunately did not clinch a playoff spot. They played really hard this year and are looking to play even harder the following season.
Key Players: Juniors Cesar Deleon, Junior Adan Ledezmu, Senior Antonio Campos.
Key Opponents: Mission Bears, O’Connell Boilermakers, Lowell Cardinals
Varsity Cheerleading
Overview: Varsity cheerleading has been working hard on routines all year long, cheering at every home football game in preparation for the spirit squad championship later on this year. They are happy to encourage the football team and pumped up the football team to victories so far this season.
Key Players: Everyone on the team because they all work together while some are flyers and some are bases.
Key Opponents: ?
Varsity Cross Country
Overview: Galileo’s cross country team is growing a lot this year. Their season record is (2-0) so far in the AAA league with juniors, Brendan Soon and Allen Zhu in the top 10 in varsity boys. They have been to a number of invitational meets so far, and worked really hard at practice with all cities a few weeks away.
Key Players: Senior Daniel Xu, Senior Jimmy Zhen, Senior Betty Lau, Senior Lisa Liu, Junior Brendan Soon, Junior Allen Zhu.
Key Opponents: Lowell Cardinals and Lincoln Mustangs
Varsity Girls Golf
Overview: Galileo’s varsity girl’s golf ended their season on a low-key note with a season record of (2-5) in the AAA league. At all cities though, senior, Stephanie Yeun, made the top 14 with a score of 144 to bring a highlight to the girl’s season.
Key Players: Senior Stephanie Yuen, Senior Hong La, Senior Michelle Hoang.
Key Opponents: Ourselves because we push each other everyday to get better competitively.
